Instructions
for the Wetland Notices of Intent Public Access Site
The
Wetland Notices of Intent Public Access Site has been designed to provide
public access to Wetland Notices of Intent (NOI) file numbers and comments from
DEP’s Regional Wetlands staff through the DEP web site. The information on the site is updated the day prior to your viewing.
1.
Pick your region (if known) and city/town. To locate the region you are in, visit
http://www.mass.gov/dep/about/region/findyour.htm.
2.
The time frame of one month will automatically be shown. You can also choose another range of filing dates for your search, from
start date to end date. You can either enter the dates manually in the mm/dd/yyyy format, or use the calendar
feature to search and click the exact dates you are interested in.
3.
Under User Preferences, pick the number of rows you would like to view at this
time if you are planning to print out the results.
4.
Press SEARCH, and view the results.
Results will be shown in the order of the latest to earliest filing dates.
5.
To obtain the results of any column by alphabetical or sequential order, click
on that column heading. To reverse the order, click on the column heading again.
The
COMMENT column will show DEP’s comments under the following scenarios:
(1)
If your NOI file number has not been issued yet, and the NOI is incomplete,
then the COMMENT field will display an internal comment by Department staff
stating the reason(s) why the file number has not been issued.
(2)
If your NOI file number is provided, but the technical review is not complete,
then the COMMENT field will display "under review."
(3)
If your NOI file number is provided and the technical review is complete, then
you will see either: the technical comments provided on your NOI; or the phrase
"no comment," which means that there are no technical comments on the NOI.
Note:
Users can also
select the table and import data in applications such as Excel for additional
analysis.
